We make extensive use of open source software. We can’t do everything ourselves and by making our own code open we have an opportunity to pay back the community as well as gain from innovation elsewhere.
By using and producing open source code, and building on open standards, we can encourage reuse and collaboration with other governments so that our users get better public services.
