The DTIC is making a strong commitment to use open source software in all its areas of activity. The majority of the common services and infrastructure provided by the DTIC to the rest of public administrations (http://administracionelectronica.gob.es/PAe/catalogo), are offered or based on open source products such as Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Postfix, OpenLDAP, Fedora, Magnolia and Alfresco.

The commitment of the DTIC is not just as a consumer but also as a provider for open source software products for use by other public administrations. In this regard, the DTIC has proceeded to release, preferably using the EUPL license, different key products to build and create electronic services. For example, "ARCHIVE" and "INSIDE" for managing electronic documents and electronic files, as well as its final archiving, "@firma client" to generate and manage electronic identity and electronic signature in public administrations and "Acceda" to handle electronic procedures.

Finally, as responsible for CTT, a key instrument for promoting reusability in public administration, we work at all administrative levels to boost reusability and therefore open source software. Among other actions, the "Guide of publication and licensing of assets" has been created to help public administrations create new reusable assets.
