
On the 20th of April, the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), in collaboration with Startup Portugal, Startup Lisboa and Startup Braga will organize a Q&A session on Justice Challenge initiative, that can also be followed by online streaming.

As parte of the Justice GovTech Strategy, INPI is the first entity to launch the Justice Challenge, aiming to transform its current research system and increase the effectiveness of its services, by incorporating a tool that could search for conceptual similarity between trademarks. Besides identify textual, phonetic and image coincidence, this tool should allow the detection of identity or conceptual similarity between two trademarks.

The Justice GovTech Strategy is a platform for collaborative innovation and digital transformation initiatives, to enhance exchange of experiences, foster synergies and stimulate creativity in co-innovation processes between the Justice sector and the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, both at the national, European, and international levels, for the purpose of designing solutions to transform the way Justice works and provides its services.
