Scientific Officer position on Digital Transformation in the Public Sector

The Digital Economy Unit of the JRC has just opened a position for a Scientific Officer to investigate the adoption, use, and impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation in the public sector and for the delivery of innovative public services.

The position will contribute to one of the main projects of the Unit (INNPULSE – Innovation in Public Services) which analyses the impact of the use of disruptive technologies in the modernization of European public administration, which a focus on how it can contribute to the European economic recovery.

The jobholder will analyse the actors, processes and technologies in public sector organisations and evaluate the impact of technology both internally to the organisation, and externally with respect to the role of governments as providers of services to business and the public, as well as key instruments of the democratic form of governance. In this respect, it will be important to analyse both the governance of technological change and new forms of governance with technological change.
