Core reference dataset

Core reference dataset can be defined as the minimum set of authoritative, harmonised and homogeneous framework data needed to either meet common requirements for applications at cross-border, European and global levels or to geo-reference and locate other thematic data. In the latter case, core data may be used as a framework on which other richer, more detailed, thematic geospatial and statistical data would rely.
