Slovenia publishes statistics…

As of this month, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia is making available 3374 data collections on the country’s open data portal, making it by far the portal’s biggest contributor. The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities comes second, with 62 datasets.

The Statistical Office collects and shares data on the economy, demographic records, and figures on society and the environment, the Ministry of Public Administration announced. Slovenia is one of the few European countries that publishes official statistics on its national open data portal, according to the ministry.

On the Odprti Podatki Slovenije (OPSI, Open Data Portal Slovenia) users can now find metadata descriptions of all the registers and collections available to the public sector, the ministry explained. The data provides an insight into the functioning of the state.

OPSI was launched in 2016. Its datasets are automatically available on the European Data Portal.
