In April, the data.europa academy organised two engaging webinars that drew over 1,500 participants, including experts, professionals, and stakeholders interested in exploring data spaces and interoperability. These sessions offered a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, showcase practical demonstrations and discuss real-world cases.
The first webinar, “Data spaces: experience from the European Language Data Space”, saw the participation of speakers from DG CONNECT and the Institute for Language and Speech Processing that shared their insights on European Language Data Spaces (LDS). Participants explored the current landscape of language technologies and the role of LDS within it and were given a live demo of the LDS marketplace.
The second data.europa academy webinar, “Unlocking data interoperability: exploring ways of standardisation with real use cases”, focused on data interoperability, delving into how standardization can enhance transparency, seamless data exchange and cross-border collaboration. The event highlighted the DCAT-AP and featured good practices from France and Czechia. France presented national tools to ensure high data quality, while Czechia showcased its national DCAT-AP profile.
Thanks to these sessions, participants had the chance to gain knowledge and hands-on experience. More webinars from the data.europa academy will be organized soon!
