On 4, 5 and 6 October 2013 the first e-government hackaton of Wallonia will be held in Namur.

"For three days, software developers working for regional administrations and citizens will get together with one purpose: to develop the prototypes of online governmental services."

"Participants will first put forward their ideas and suggestion for services and applications. Attendees will then vote for the projects that they find most interesting and/or realistic, form teams of five to ten people with complementary profiles, will start coding and at the end of three days will showcase their prototypes."

The eGov Hackathon Wallonia will involve 50 to 80 participants. At the end of marathon, the best prototype will be chosen by an independent jury. The winning team will receive a prize.

The eGov Hackathon is an opportunity to build connections between people that share a common goal: improving the quality of government services to citizens.
