eCl@ss is a hierarchical system for grouping materials, products and services according to a logical structure with a level detail that corresponds to the product-specific properties that can be described using norm-conforming properties.

eCl@ss provides Small to Medium size Enterprise (SMEs) with:

• A start-up user advice incl. basic information about the usability of standards, introduction to the eCl@ss standard, eCl@ss in practice (use and area of application/processes)

• The interoperability between eCl@ss and other standards through harmonization / integration of branch standards (currently PI, ETIM, proficl@ss, PROLIST)

• The direct integration of SMEs in the eCl@ss development (via the eCl@ss Online ServicePortal)

• The transfer of eCl@ss best practice via online events (currently German, free of charge, every 3 weeks)

• eCl@ss best practice workshops (currently German, free of charge, on demand)

• eCl@ss representation at (mainly German) fairs and events
