Prof. dr. Steven Van de Walle is professor of public administration and public management at the KU Leuven
Public Governance Institute (BE). His current research and teaching covers the role of public administration in societies and in the state, and specific research interests include citizens’ perceptions of the public sector, government-citizen relations, public sector performance, corruption, trust in government, satisfaction surveys, comparative public administration and governance indicators. Before joining KU Leuven, he held the Chair of Public Management at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Between 2006 and 2008 he worked as a lecturer at INLOGOV – the University of Birmingham, and was a visiting senior research associate at the Campbell Public Affairs Institute of Syracuse University (Maxwell School).
