The “Introduction to the European Interoperability Reference Architecture: part 1” course will provide you with an introduction and orientation to EIRA, as well as high-level guidance on the tools and support that can help implement it. It was designed to help you understand the principles and underlying concepts of EIRA and describe its objectives, use cases and expected benefits.
By the end of the course, you will be able to describe the main concepts of Archimate® Framework and you will be familiar with the terminology and building blocks associated with EIRA. Furthermore, you will be equipped to identify and utilize tools and solutions available in Joinup that support the effective implementation of EIRA, providing you with practical insights and resources for real-world application.
After completing the introductory course, or if you already have some knowledge on the

subject, you can enrol in the "Introduction the European Interoperability Reference Architecture: part 2" course to deepen your knowledge. This course aims to provide an analytical description of the EIRA views focusing on the details of the EIRA technical view and providing specific concrete examples. Additionally, it provides a specific practical example of a Solution Architecture Template that can be used as a tool for pan European public services and high-level guidance on the tools and support that can help implement the EIRA. By the end of the course, you will be able to understand the EIRA views in high level, recognise tools and solutions in Joinup that can support EIRA, able to see how EIRA is used with specific examples.
Overall, both courses will offer you a holistic and practical learning experience and will give you with the knowledge and resources you need in order to start implementing EIRA.
