The new e-learning course by the Interoperable Europe (IOPEU) Academy is introducing the Once-Only Technical System (OOTS), a major initiative helping to digitalise the European Single Market.
The Once-Only Technical System enables the exchange of evidence across borders. Evidence can be different kinds of proof a public authority requires, such as a proof of residency registration or a diploma. This evidence is necessary to complete administrative procedures, saving people and businesses time and money!
Understanding ‘Once-Only’
The implementation of the Once-Only Technical System is mandated by the Single Digital Gateway Regulation ((EU) 2018/1724). The single digital gateway itself makes access to online information, administrative procedures and assistance services that EU citizens and businesses may need in another EU country even easier. People can access the gateway is via the Your Europe portal. Your Europe is the easy-to-use EU site that helps you do things in other European countries – avoiding unnecessary inconvenience and red tape. This might mean moving, living, studying, working, shopping or simply travelling abroad. Or, as a private company, doing business abroad.
This course is designed for IT professionals in public administrations, implementers of cross-border digital public services, eGovernment project managers, those involved in developing, implementing and/or managing eGovernment solutions, policymakers and stakeholders in standardisation processes within the EU.
