Agenda: Public Sector AI Pioneers, High-level Representatives, and more

We're excited to announce our keynote speaker: Siim Sikkut! As the former Government Chief Information Officer of Estonia, Siim Sikkut will offer a practical strategic perspective on why, in the age of AI, Europe needs interoperability more than ever. He will also delve into the significance of interoperability and semantic work in this AI age.

The conference will be inaugurated by the Director-General of DIGIT, Veronica Gaffey, and Juan Torres Carbonell, Chief Information Officer and Secretary General for Digital Administration of Spain.

Another highlight is the morning panel discussion on AI's potential in supporting interoperability, featuring esteemed panellists from Denmark, Germany, Spain, Poland, Estonia, and the European Commission.

Our agenda also offers various parallel tracks, tailored to our attendees' diverse interests, and concludes with the highly anticipated closing keynote by Mario Campolargo, Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Administrative Modernisation of Portugal and former Director-General of DG DIGIT and the speech of the Vise-President of Spain and Minister for Economy and Digitalisation Nadia Calviño.

Are you ready for SEMIC 2023 in Madrid?

SEMIC 2023 is set for 18 October in Madrid and is a collaborative effort between the European Commission and the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The conference will be preceded by three Pre-Conference workshops. Although in-person spaces are filled, online access is available with registration.
