EU Public Services Open Source Achievement Awards Celebrating Top Open Source Solutions and Initiatives

The European Commission's Open Source Observatory (OSOR) opens the applications for the EU Public Services Open Source Achievement Awards. The awards will honour exceptional open source solutions and initiatives developed for European public administrations. 

Award Categories 

• EU Public Sector Open Source Achievement Award: Selected by the Jury based on dedicated criteria. 

• OSOR Community Award: Voted for on the Joinup platform by OSOR users and platform members. 

So, are you ready to take your achievements to the next level? Applying for the EU Public Services Open Source Achievement Awards is the perfect chance to shine. 

Winners will gain recognition and present their achievements at the OSOR Conference in Brussels on 21 November 2023, boosting their potential for development, networking, and collaboration. While non-monetary, the Awards support the uptake of top European Open Source solutions and initiatives. 

Eligibility 

The awards are open to organisations and teams successfully implementing Open Source solutions within public administrations or advancing their use in public services. Businesses applying must have partnered with a public entity. 

The solution or initiative must be developed or implemented by a public organisation from an EU Member State, EFTA country associated with the Digital Europe Programme, or an EU candidate country whose Association Agreement with the Digital Europe Programme has entered into force. Submissions in English via EU Survey are required, with descriptions published on Joinup.  

The online submission form will open on 26 July 2023 and close on 21 September 2023.
