SIGEO

Application is part of the desk project (Decision support system and territorial knowledge) in which the Metropolitan City of Milan, the Metropolitan City of Genoa, the Province of Taranto and the Metropolitan City of Venice have collaborated with the technical support of Corvallis S.p.A. The project was created as a reuse of what had been developed by the Metropolitan City of Milan in previous experience. It consists of a set of applications aimed at concerting and enriching information and territorial knowledge. S.I.Geo (Geodatabase Information System) is an example of a consultation tool for collecting reports and comments from stakeholders. The partners in the desk project requested that this application be developed towards a system capable of collecting comments on a subject that could be customised from time to time: the administration defines the area in which stakeholders can submit one-off, linear or polygonal observations, thus giving rise to a real e-democracy tool.
