Description
OpenCity Italia – La Stanza del Cittadino is the open-source software that provides citizens and businesses with a personal area and all municipal services in digital form. It includes the personal area through which the citizen can send files (e.g. crèche enrolment, request ZTL permit, participation in competitions, etc.), check the state of play, receive communications from the institution, make payments, receive bonuses and facilities, obtain and retain certificates and other documents.
All services are provided according to the [model] (https://designers.italia.it/modello/comuni/) made available by Designers Italia; they have a user-friendly experience, are easy to activate and can be customised according to the needs of the institution.
The software, created by a [pilot project in cooperation with the Presidency Digital Team of the Council and the Consortium of Trentini Municipalities] (https://www.forumpa.it/pa-digitale/servizi-digitali/design-dei-siti-web/), is currently being used by hundreds of Italian municipalities.
It is also available in [AgID qualified SaaS cloud version] (https://catalogocloud.agid.gov.it/service/525).
It can be used in combination with any software for the website of a municipality, including the module [OpenCity Italia – Website] (https://developers.italia.it/it/software/c_a116-comune-di-ala-comunweb) for Italian municipalities produced in accordance with the design guidelines, in accordance with the data model (ontologies and controlled vocabularies) defined by AgID and also available in the SaaS version in cloud qualified by AgID.
The citizen’s profile is designed to manage personal data in compliance with the GDPR, in order to reduce the need to ask users for the same information several times (‘once only’ principle) and to reduce the time needed to process practices.
The user experience is developed following the design guidelines, using the bootstrap kit Italy, while the content architecture model complies with the guidelines.

OpenCiy Italia is integrated with most of the protocol systems adopted by the Italian municipalities, the PagoPA enabling platforms (through technological intermediaries already present at the body), SPID/CIE/eIDAS and the IO App.
It is easily integrated with other applications, through OpenAPI and WebHook.
OpenCity Italia has a highly scalable, multi-tenant architecture composed of cloud-native micro services available in containers (to avoid cloud lock-in). Interoperability is ensured by specific European and nazial semantic public sector standards and an API platform designed according to the interoperability guidelines and using the national catalogue of data semantics (to avoid data lock-in). The platform follows a design pattern approach, offering technologically advanced responses to each of the functions we mapped and then using them in each of the services made available to local public authorities.

It complies with the minimum security requirements laid down by AGID and all the requirements laid down in the technical specifications for the release of NRRP funds for local authorities.
