Aurea AR module

The AUREA module is a tool developed under the Smart City concept of the city of Kassel (Smart Kassel | City of Kassel) in cooperation with the University of Kassel Fach Comtec (University of Kassel – Comtec (uni-kassel.de)). The module allows citizens to experience the city in a completely new way. It is a building block that can be integrated into larger applications (e.g. city apps) or developed into a stand-alone AR application.

AUREA module characteristics:

—Compass view for sensors: The module has an intuitive compass view that allows users to locate sensors in the AUREA regulatory sandbox (AUREA – | City of Kassel). Whether you are looking for environmental sensors, traffic monitoring or other smart technologies, the Compass leads you directly to the desired location.
— Augmented reality (AR) visualisation: Once you have found a sensor, AR technology allows you to visualise the current measurements directly on site. The module shows you, for example, soil moisture, air quality and water levels – all in real time and in an interactive AR view.
