The ISA² Programme of the European Commission is launching a call for expression of interest for the development of a Core Public Event Vocabulary.

Core Vocabularies are simplified, re-usable and extensible data models that capture the fundamental characteristics of an entity in a context-neutral fashion. The ISA² Programme has developed several Core Vocabularies, which are available via https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/page/core-vocabularies.

Through its interactions with Member States, we have discovered a potential need for the development of a Core Vocabulary that describes public events, which could include for example conferences, summits, conventions, etc. We would however like to understand whether there is a wider need for a Core Public Event Vocabulary.

Are you interested in using a Core Public Event Vocabulary, or in joining a Working Group to co-develop the vocabulary with domain experts across the EU? Please let us know via contact@semic.eu.
