On 2nd and 3rd February 2009, two events held in Brussels by SEMIC.EU and CEN, respectively, will address vital issues in European eGovernment.

2nd February 2009: SEMIC.EU Workshop
The day before, SEMIC.EU's 'Modelling eGovernment entities ? Methodologies and Experiences under review' starts at 10am. During its first session, Mr Laudi, the IDABC SEMIC.EU Project Officer welcomes all participants and introduces some speakers. It will be mainly looked at the Knowhow in modelling eGovernment in Europe. Therefore the hands-on experiences made in different contexts are presented by leading experts from various European countries. This part of the workshop will be accompanied by a discussion open to all.

3rd February 2009: CEN Plenary Meeting
The next day, the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) holds a meeting titled 'eGove?Share: Making it easier to find eGovernment resources'. It is the final meeting after a public comment period on the agreement on specifications for
sharing information on eGovernment resources across institutions and borders developed by the workshop (CWA). The aim is to finalize the Agreement 'Discovery of and Access to eGovernment
Resources (CEN/ISSS WS/eGov-Share)' which is currently under public review.
As announcend on the website, CEN accepts public comments on the proposed agreement until 19th January 2009./>
