The first webinar of the new working year in our series dedicated to the review of the Core Vocabularies took place on 27 October 2023, from 13:00 to 15:00 CEST.
Core Vocabularies are simplified, reusable and extensible data models that capture the fundamental characteristics of an entity in a context-neutral fashion. SEMIC supported international working groups to forge consensus on the following Core Vocabularies: Business, Location, Person, Public Service, Criterion & Evidence, Public Organisation, Assessment, Public Event, and Standards and Specifications.
In this specific webinar we reported on the ongoing maintenance and used the webinar as a touch-point with the SEMIC community.
Some issues were raised on GitHub which were addressed . In addition, we highlighted the changes that will take place as a result of the compliance check with the SEMIC Style Guide. Finally, one of our community members from Slovakia presented their success story on the adoption of the Core Vocabularies.
