About the Webinar
On 24 March 2015, the ISA Programme of the European Commission will host a webinar on core data models for public administrations. The webinar invites e-Government experts to share their views on how Europe can maximally benefit from core data models, which capture the fundamental characteristics of data entities in a context-neutral fashion.
In the last decade, several core data models have been created by public administrations and standardisation organisations to foster interoperability. These include:
- the library of the German XÖV Framework;
- the data dictionary of the Dutch base registries 'Stelselcatalogus.nl';
- the Swedish Company data model;
-
the Danish Basic Data Model;
-
the Core Data Model of the US National Information Exchange (NIEM);
- the vocabularies of the Japanese Infrastructure for Multilayer Interoperability (IMI); and
- the Core Vocabularies of the ISA Programme.
- the UN/CEFACT Core Component Library (CCL);
- the OASIS UBL Common Library;
- the Health Level Seven (HL7) Reference Information Model (RIM); and
- the business term vocabulary in the CEN/BII workshop agreements.
Why to attend?
- Prepare the face-to-face workshop on Core Data Models which will take place on 6th May, in Riga, Latvia back to back with the SEMIC conference.
