Semantic information management in public administration
Context
For many years, Semantic technologies, and in particular the idea of the Semantic Web have offerd public administration a starting point for the development of increasingly complex processes to control excessive amounts of information and growing requirements of a better and modern e-government.
During the last year, there have been open standards for the Semantic Web present in many European countries and in many places of the European Union leading to network effects , often discussed as ' Linked Open Data '.
Since then, we have seen the development of those infrastructures enabling a long debate on ' Semantic Information Management’ in Public Administration in Europe. In regards to this, what is the role which Austria can play?
