The General Directorate of Social Assistance and Solidarity benefits from the use of technological opportunities, in order to improve service quality and rapidity of all the operations it carries out. In recent years, many different computing projects, e-government applications and systems brought changes in infrastructure. The Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation (SYDGM) business and operations have been simplified due to the new processes. One of the projects developed for this purpose is "Free call over the Internet (VOIP) and End-to-End Virtual Private Network" project.

The project will follow the steps below,
- General Directorates own network infrastructure will be analysed,
- Infrastructure of the various foundations is analysed,
- Internet bandwidth is tested and raised to 50Mbit per second,
- A Firewall, that is capable to handle 5.000 vpn communications, is placed.
In order to convince people to use this system hand books are send to the foundations.
System is connected to a  digital map. This map shows all the sites if they are connected to the INTERNET. In case of the loss of connection, help desk tries to fix it.
