Policy Officer on Corporate Management and IT Governance in the Secretariat General of the European Commission

Peter Van Landegem works since 2015 as Policy Officer in the Secretariat General of the European Commission, dealing with corporate governance processes for IT, information security and data, information and knowledge management. He joined the European Commission in 2003. In the Directorate General for Informatics he first was head of sector for the corporate human resources information systems and in 2012 became deputy head of unit for IT governance and corporate methodologies for project management and software development.

Prior to joining the Commission, he was the CIO of the University of Antwerp (UFSIA).

His main driving force is seeking optimal reuse and interoperability within the European Commission.

He holds several master degrees (MBA, Applied Economics and Information Science).
