Mr. Jens Krieger Royen is an experienced professional working with digitization of the Danish public sector for many years. Mr. Royen has a background in Political Science and started working with Local Government Denmark and the digitization of the municipalities. From there Mr. Royen joined the cross-government Digital Taskforce placed in the Ministry of Finance. In the Digital Taskforce Mr. Royen was programme manager for a series of digital transformation project, among them the establishment of the Danish citizen portal, the national single sign-on infrastructure and the political process leading to the agreement on mandatory digital communication between citizens and the authorities. From there Mr. Royen moved to the Agency for Digitisation and was leading the Danish Basic Data Programme for a number of years. Now Mr. Royen is leading the cross-government effort on increasing data reuse and coherent it-architecture for e-Goverment services in local, regional and central administrations within the public sector in Denmark.
