Be part of the first consultation for the Interoperable Europe Agenda!
Help shape the future of trans-national digital public services in Europe– deadline 10th of July 2025
For the first time, the European Commission is launching a consultation to shape the Interoperable Europe Agenda, the strategic roadmap that will guide how European countries work together to build seamless digital public services across borders. This is your chance to be part of something new, meaningful, and truly European.
Whether you work in a public administration, are part of a technology company, an academic institution, you are a citizen interested in the topic, or a civil society organisation – your expertise and experience are essential for the future of the interoperable digital single market. We need your insights to help us identify what matters most on the ground, what challenges remain, and where Europe should focus its efforts to make digital services more connected and efficient.
Why your input matters
The results of this consultation will directly inform the work of the Interoperable Europe Board, a new governance body introduced by the Interoperable Europe Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/903). The Board will use your contributions to prioritise areas for EU-wide interoperability support. In short: your answers will help shape where the EU puts its focus and resources.
By contributing, you are helping to:
- Remove digital barriers for citizens and businesses
- Boost innovation through more open and connected public services
- Ensure your organisation’s needs and realities are reflected in European policy
What to expect from the consultation
The questionnaire is designed to be clear and manageable, and it won’t take more than 20–25 minutes to complete. It covers a few key areas, including:
- a needs assessment for the development of interoperability solutions;
- an overview of ongoing and planned Interoperable Europe support measures;
- an overview of proposed follow-up actions to innovation measures, including interoperability regulatory sandboxes and actions in support of open-source interoperability solutions;
- synergies with other relevant Union and national programmes and initiatives; and
- potential financial opportunities in support of the priorities included.
You don’t need to be a legal or policy expert, we value your hands-on experience and perspective just as much.
What happens next
The consultation is open until 10 July 2025. Once closed, the input will be analysed and used to prepare a draft of the Interoperable Europe Agenda, which will be discussed by the Interoperable Europe Board. A summary report of the consultation findings will be published on the Interoperable Europe Portal later this year.
