Web 4.0, is expected to be the fourth generation of the World Wide Web, and uses advanced AI and virtual worlds to enable truly intuitive, immersive experiences, seamlessly blending together the physical and digital worlds.
EU’s latest strategy on the matter aims to ensure that European citizens can safely and confidently use virtual worlds and that European businesses can develop world-leading applications. The launch is about the EU’s head start in the next technological transition, reflecting its values, principles and fundamental rights on the matter.
