The report on the output of the European Semester in the 28 Member States is now available here.

The European Commission sets up the yearly cycle of economic policy coordination called European Semester. It provides a framework for the coordination of economic policies across the European Union. After last edition, back in May 2017, it suggested a list of Country Specific Recommendations (CSR) for the Member States.

Identification of existing actions from the Interoperability Solutions for European Public Administrations (ISA²) programme falls under the scope of the report. This goes with proposition of new actions that can foster the modernisation of public administrations and improve institutional capacity.

The study’s main goal is to find tangible links between the ISA² programme’s priorities and actions towards the European Semester process in the 28 sampled countries.

The study also provides a concise analysis of the current eGovernment state of play in which recommendations and priorities are set. Possible correlations between the state of eGovernment development in Member States and the recommendations they receive on the subject in the 2017 European Semester documents are then investigated.

The document also aims to identify commonalities between countries and the challenges faced by Member States. This inside analysis pays specific attention to the improvements related to eGovernment, eHealth, eJustice, eTaxation, eProcurement, Digitisation, Administrative Simplification.

The conclusions are set up for each Country and transmitted to the European Commission.
