The latest Joinup release has introduced a key modification in collections and solutions: the merging of the Overview and About pages into a single, optimised page.

How did it work before?

• The Overview page contained a short description of the collection/solution, as well as the different content items under that community. 
• The About page showcased the description of the collection/solution and, additionally, included the owner’s contact information.

What are the benefits now?

With the new unified Overview page, users can quickly identify the most important information, thanks to:

• The abstract text, which provides in a few lines the purpose and type of the collection/solution (this is now a mandatory field for solutions).
• The quick links area, where important links are showcased.
• The owner’s contact information area, which is now more prominent and easier for users to locate and contact collection/solution owners.
• The collapsed description section, which provides a quick view of the main collection/solution description, with the ability to expand with a click to read it in full.
• The detailed information area, where key information is presented, such as last update date, solution type, latest release version etc.

Start proposing your content by first joining a relevant collection or solution, which is a community centered around a thematic area (i.e., semantics, emerging technologies etc.). To do so, click on the Join this collection button. Afterwards, you will be able to click on the orange plus (+) icon and create your content. Once proposed, the community’s moderator will review and publish it.
