Through this brief webinar Noel Cuschieri, Enterprise Architect within Malta’s MITA, will share with the audience insights on “MITA’s approach to Open Standards”.

During this webinar Mr. Cuschieri will present and discuss the opportunities and challenges of using open standards as key enablers to implement flexible, re-usable and interoperable ICT resources for public services.

Noel is an enterprise architect for the Malta Information Technology Agency (http://mita.gov.mt) currently focusing on the Education sector with projects such as the One Tablet per Child initiative, the proliferation of wireless technologies across state schools and a wider use of identity federation across educational services and solutions.  Noel authored the National ICT Interoperability Framework including the complimentary policies and procedures relevant to the adoption of open standards. As a national expert on interoperability and open standards Noel represents Malta in several working groups within the ISA programme.
