Best Practice 34 - Extending INSPIRE data specifications beyond environmental policy |
---|
Country: Italy |
Policy domain: Energy, Telecommunications |
Level of government: National |
Process owners: Agency for Digital Italy and several other public administrations |
Short description: New thematic data models were defined consistent with national and European reference specifications (i.e. the relevant INSPIRE data specifications and the national rules on the geo-topographic database (DBGT), the reference data model including the main base spatial layers and objects being harmonised to INSPIRE). Two examples: i) the data model defined for the information system of the physical infrastructures to allow the access to the information related to the implementation of the EU Directive 2014/61/EU on measures to reduce the cost of deploying high-speed electronic communications networks; ii) the data model defined for the PELL (Public Energy Living Lab) project aimed at implementing a digital platform for public lighting. The PELL project has also contributed learning to the Energy and Location project under the ELISE action of the ISA2 Programme. |
