👋 Hello and welcome, open data fans!
It was great to see such a wonderful turnout at the first session of the BDTI Essentials course last week. It was an engaging hour, and the response was very positive.
As promised, the slides and recording from the session are now available. Check them out here. And everything you need to follow along with the use case has been uploaded to the repository - that's here.
We hope to see you all in the next session on Friday the 16th at 11 am CEST. We'll be discussing cleaning and exploring your data. If you haven't registered for session two yet, you can do so now here.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to share them here! ✨
I downloaded KNIME from EC-Store and installed it on my business laptop.
To start tinkering with it, I tried to connect to KNIME Hub or see the EXAMPLES from KNIME Explorer, but it responded "server not available". Also tried Welcome / Get started => "Unable to load".
Way forward?
Thanks
Hi Ioannis! Thanks for your comment. The training is about Big Data Test Infrastructure (BDTI), a ready-to-use free of charge, analytics cloud stack offered to all European public administrations to experiment with open-source tools and foster the re-use of public sector data for a data-informed public sector. The different tools, KNIME included, are available from the service catalogue in BDTI, once the public administration had access to the portal. From your message, I understand you are working at the EC. Please refer to DIGIT B1 to have support on the corporate analytics tool. Many, thanks for your interest.

Thanks, Maria.
I will forward it to DIGIT B1, although I have the hunch that the EC corporate analytics tool is Power BI.
