The Directorate-General for Structural Reform Support (DG REFORM) released their January Newsletter with editorial related to the continuous effort to build the Public Administration and Governance Community across the EU.

With an opening message from Natalia Aristimuño-Perez, Director of Digital Services, DG DIGIT, the featured topics include the latest developments in Digital Public Administration across the EU Member States, policy updates, best practices examples, and future key events.
Discover the policy actions that the Commission is undertaking in the journey towards digital government. These include “Supporting public administrations in EU Member States to deliver reforms and prepare for the future” or working towards the internal “Next Generation Digital Commission” strategy, among many others. These contribute to the achievement of key EU priorities, including Europe’s Digital Decade.
To show an example of these policies in practice, the newsletter sheds light on a successful digitalisation project implemented in Spain via the Technical Support Instrument. Learn how more than 15% of the existing judicial bodies have been equipped with the necessary infrastructure to be able to carry out judicial proceedings electronically, and the following steps to come.
Additionally, you may stay updated on what’s e-new in digital government, both at EU level, with the Interoperable Europe Act, and at Member State level, with examples from Italy (survey of the customer experience on public digital services), Slovakia (the new ‘Slovakia on mobile’ application) and Spain (“My citizen folder” phone app). Lastly, you may find the key takeaways on the expert Group on Public Administration and Governance, as well as future events on the topic.
