The 2023 edition of the Digital Assembly took place on the 15th and 16th of June in Stockholm. It was co-hosted by the European Commission and the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with opening messages by Thierry Breton, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Erik Slottner, Swedish Minister for Public Administration.

The Digital Assembly featured five plenary sessions, addressing the delivery of the Digital Decade, the single market for data, quantum technologies, the scaling of EU cybersecurity and ICT sectors and the secure European Digital Identity wallet. It also included six breakout sessions to give participants an opportunity to have more in-depth discussions on important topics. These included the following: cyber resilience, secure global digital connectivity, the Digital Europe Programme, the digitalisation of the public sector, the General Purpose AI in Europe and the support provided to companies during their digital transition. Side events also took place, such as a session on Digital Rights and Principles, a Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition workshop and an info day on the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).
