LEOS 5.1.0 Switch to the latest release

Compatible with Annotate - 5.1.*

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This release is intended to provide an experience with the software and is stripped of several important components to enable ease of use.This software is adapted to run on a local server for demo purposes and without proper security mechanisms; This software is still under active development so some features may be added, removed or changed over course of time.

DEPENDENCIES

To compile the supplied source files and run the generated WAR the following software should be configured:Java SDK version 8.0 Maven version 3.3.9+ (Maven runtime memory might need to be set: MAVEN_OPTS=-Xms256m -Xmx512m) (Maven settings, proxy and mirrors, might need to be adjusted to your environment and internet access requirements) Supported browser is Google Chrome version 45+ (Mozilla Firefox ESR version 38.3 and Microsoft Internet Explorer version 11 are known to work with minor issues)

What’s new?

New Landing Page And Notifications

• New entry page for LEOS with included new features
  • List of latest activity - automatically updated based on user edition on documents to which he has access to
  • List of favorites - List of proposals explicitly marked as favorite
•  New horizontal notification system to publish news / warning to all users with access to the application 

Track Changes

• Added tracking for proposal title in cover page;
• Improved tracking of textual and structural changes;

Fork&Merge

• New send feedback feature allowing users merging a contribution to provide contextual feedback back to the creator of the contribution
• Improved wrapper placing logic and improved stability on applying changes done upon merge consolidation

LEOS Multilingual

• New feature for supporting linguistic versions of a proposal
  • New API to allow for import of linguistic versions;
  • New UI tabulations added per uploaded linguistic version;
  • Adapted collaborators management: only possible to change when original proposal is selected for edition;

AKN4EU 4.1.1 Alignment

• Drafting rule added : Articles containing a single paragraph cannot be numbered;
• Templates adapted to be compliant with AKN4EU 4.1.1 
• Generation of element IDs adapted;
• Internal references href adapted;

Annotations

• New Angular base UI, replacing the old AngularJS based one;
• Added deployed version information on annotations sidebar;  

Technical improvements / changes

• Performance improvements mainly focused on opening elements for edition as well as on persisting changes done;
• Changes done in co-edition are now automatically reflected to other users working on the same document;
• Migration from eUI14.X to eUI17.X version;
• Introduced auto numbering for higher sub-divisions;
• Introduced French translation for LEOS UI;
• heavily Improved cypress test base;

Bug fixes

• coEdition notification icon missing from Table of Content;
• Improved stability for Annexes;
• Error fixed when accepting a suggestion on a legislative financial statement document;
• Consultation integration : Fixed issue for sidebar collapse mechanism;
• Several bug fixes related with ckEditor and track changes plugins
• Several bug fixes related with export feature;
