This document explores EMi, an innovative digital solution developed by Emprego Galicia (Public Employment Service of the Xunta de Galicia, Spain), with the purpose of showcasing how digital transformation - grounded in AI, interoperability, and the ESCO classification - can enhance the effectiveness of public employment services. Anchored in broader EU strategies such as the European Skills Agenda and the Digital Compass 2030, EMi offers a practical model for addressing skills mismatches and improving labour market efficiency. By highlighting EMi’s approach and lessons learned, the policy brief aims to inspire and guide public administrations across the EU in modernising their services to become more responsive, data-driven, and skills-oriented.
