Core Location Vocabulary 0.2 Switch to the latest release
The Core Location Vocabulary is a simplified, reusable and extensible data model that captures the fundamental characteristics of a location.
This release of the Core Location Vocabulary was developed between November 2011 and January 2012 by a multi disciplinary Working Group consisting of three Task Forces, one for each Vocabulary, which makes a total of 67 people from 21 countries, 18 EU and 3 non-EU countries (USA, South-Africa and Croatia), and some EU Institutions. It contains the combined model of a Core Business, Core Location and Core Person.
Public review process
From 17 February till 16 March, the Core Location Specification is open for public review. Comments can be posted in the forum topic that is therefore provided. All comments will be discussed by the Working Group in March. Resolutions of those issues will be shared on Joinup, and will lead to a final version of the specification that will be submitted for endorsement by the Member States participating in the ISA² programme.
