We believe that societal challenges are resolved through online collaboration. That's why Pleio provides an open-source platform for communication and interaction within and between government organisations.
What sets Pleio apart is that it's an online collaboration platform developed for and with the government.
The Pleio Foundation was founded in 2009 with the belief that collaboration should be easy, safe, and cost-effective. To achieve this, we've created a modern, open-source environment that offers our clients an all-in-one solution. In addition to the technology, we also handle hosting, security provisions, and compliance with current European standards.
Most importantly, the Pleio platform is user-friendly, allowing people to use it for its intended purpose: collaborating on societal challenges. Government organizations can deploy the platform through quasi-insourcing, eliminating the need for a formal tender process.
Our online solution supports organizations in good governance, providing information to citizens and other key stakeholders, and, of course, efficiently managing day-to-day operations. All of this is done in a no-nonsense, fast, and secure manner. You could already benefit from it tomorrow.
Pleio is a collaborative initiative organized as a foundation. All board members are civil servants working in organizations that use Pleio. The foundation is financially sound and self-sustaining, with a substantial financial reserve, and it maintains its own team of developers and support staff.
