We are excited to announce that the data.europa academy is live!
The official portal for European data launched a packed curriculum with free courses designed for the open data community to learn what open data is and how to work with it. Whether you are a data provider, policymaker, or data enthusiast, the data.europa academy will help you become more knowledgeable about open data, and use it to your advantage.
The curriculum is structured along four themes:
1. Policy: Learn about the implementation of open data policies, strategies, open data governance, data protection, and privacy regulations.
2. Impact: Understand the potential of open data re-use, how to measure it, and how to monitor its impact.
3. Technology: Dive into the technicalities behind open data portals, learn how they work, and how to create an open data ecosystem for real-time, geospatial, and citizen-generated data.
4. Quality: Discover how to facilitate data discoverability, create access to data by harvesting meta-data, and work with high-quality data and various standards.
You can participate in webinars and training courses or check out the learning materials individually at your own pace.
The curriculum will be constantly updated with new courses and learning material based on research and best practices. To stay tuned for more learning opportunities, subscribe to the data.europa.eu newsletter and follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
