LIFO
Results are now available for the Location Interoperability Framework Observatory (LIFO) 2020 assessment of 23 countries in Europe.

LIFO  monitors the implementation of location interoperability good practices in European public administrations, based on the level of adoption of recommendations in the five focus areas of the EULF Blueprint

The recent LIFO webinar 'Location Interoperability State of Play – Results of a Europewide Maturity Assessment' is a good place to hear an overall interpretation of the results and find out how the LIFO assessment may be used.

Alternatively, you can explore the results for yourself in the LIFO Interactive Dashboards. These have been designed to give you the tools to explore any particular focus areas or recommendations in different countries and to make relevant comparisons to assist in your understanding and help you plan for the future.

Best practices - learn from them or join forces

EULF Blueprint
LIFO 2020 has created an important body of understanding of Europe's location interoperability maturity. But its not just about the numbers! LIFO captures best practices in different countries, different sectors and different levels of government. These may relate to particular digital public services, innovations in data, use of technologies, effective collaboration or delivery of benefits. You can read about these best practices in the LIFO country factsheets and state of play report. The LIFO is also an important source for best practices relevant to the EULF Blueprint guidance. LIFO in 2019 and 2020 has now contributed over half of the 92 best practices published in the EULF Blueprint.

What do participants say about LIFO?

Finally, LIFO is nothing without the contributors from across Europe who have helped ensure the quality of the survey responses and the informative nature of the outputs. Feedback from a number of participants willbe soon available in the LIFO case studies. These cover what participants have put into and got out of the LIFO process and what they would like to see for the future.
