An e-Seal Preservation Service is used for extending the trustworthiness of the qualified electronic signature beyond the technological validity period. According to the eIDAS Regulation, an ‘electronic seal’ means data in electronic form, which is attached to or logically associated with other data in electronic form to ensure the latter’s origin and integrity. The ‘creator of a seal’ is a legal person who creates an electronic seal.
