Miia Mänd has worked as a Director of Government IT Policy Department in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications for Estonia since 2016. She holds a Master of Social Sciences – master’s in public administration. Before this position she worked in the field of EU cohesion funding in the field of economic development as a Director of Foreign Financing Department in the Ministry. Her responsibility area is the implementation of the Digital Agenda for Estonia and a daily management of the Government CIO Office.
She was one of the founding team members of the Nordic Institute for Interoperability Solutions (NIIS) in 2017 as a negotiator and preparing the establishment documents. She was the first CEO of NIIS during the establishment process. She has also a qualification of LES MILLS BodyBalance® instructor.
