EU Local Digital Twin Play & Visualise enables cities to explore and interpret local digital twin information through an integrated visual environment. It brings together outputs from across the EU LDT Toolbox and represents them as interactive layers on 2D or 3D maps.
The tool supports city technicians in comparing scenarios, analysing simulation results, and visualising data from multiple sources, helping cities better understand urban dynamics and communicate insights in a clear and accessible way.
Through Play & Visualise, municipalities can:
- Visualise and compare different urban scenarios generated through simulations
- Combine heterogeneous data sources into a single, coherent view
- Explore simulation results with spatial and contextual insights
- Monitor selected datasets and indicators, including near real-time data where available
- Support communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders
The tool is designed to support a wide range of use cases, including mobility planning, energy optimisation, environmental analysis and urban development. By translating complex data into visual insights, it helps city teams better understand the impact of decisions and communicate results more effectively.
As part of the EU LDT Toolbox, Play & Visualise plays a key role in bridging data and decision-making. It enables cities not only to analyse information, but to interact with it, explore alternatives, and build confidence in their planning strategies through visual evidence.
