The Piattaforma Digitale Nazionale Dati (PDND) Interoperabilità is the Italian national infrastructure established under Article 50-ter of the Digital Administration Code (Codice dell'Amministrazione Digitale - CAD). It enables public administrations, public service operators, and (since January 2026) private companies to exchange data securely and efficiently through a unified e-service catalogue.

The platform provides a single access point where data providers publish their e-services and data consumers subscribe to and access them via standardised authentication, authorisation, and auditing processes. It supports the "once-only" principle whereby public administrations no longer request information already held by another entity.

It is released under the European Union Public Licence (EUPL).

Key characteristics include:

• A unified, publicly searchable catalogue of e-services (API catalogue available at api.gov.it);
• Secure mutual authentication and authorisation between data providers and consumers;
• Full traceability and audit logging of all data exchange operations;
• Standardised administrative and technical documentation to streamline onboarding and integration;
• Established under the Italian Digital Administration Code (CAD).
