Interoperable Europe Monitoring Mechanism dashboard

The Interoperable Europe Monitoring Mechanism (MM) has been developed as envisioned by Article 20 of the Interoperable Europe Act to track progress in interoperability efforts, identify gaps and best practices, support policymaking, and promote transparency. The MM includes a set of indicators to monitor the implementation of the Interoperable Europe Act. These indicators were co-designed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC), DG DIGIT, and Member States through a two-year co-creation process. The five indicators monitor progress in the following areas:
- Progress on cross-border interoperability
- European Interoperability Framework (EIF) Implementation
- Interoperability Solutions Uptake
- Open-Source Solutions and GovTech Cooperation
- Skills

Other monitoring results

You can consult below the results of other monitoring mechanisms, namely the European Interoperability Framework Monitoring Mechanism (EIF MM) and the Berlin Declaration Monitoring Mechanism (BD MM). These mechanisms were phased out with the introduction of the Interoperable Europe Monitoring Mechanism established under the Act.
European Interoperability Framework Mechanism
*Note that the EIF as a framework is still active, what is not active is the EIF monitoring mechanism. This is because the EIF monitoring mechanism has been integrated within the Interoperable Europe Act (IOPEU) new Monitoring Mechanism - which englobes the EIF monitoring and much more. Thus refer to the IOPEU Monitoring Mechanism for the latest information.
The EIF Monitoring, valid from the year 2017 to 2024, includes the level of implementation of the EIF by the European countries, through various indicators, data scoreboards and dashboards.
Berlin Declaration Monitoring Mechanism
The Berlin Declaration Monitoring, in force between 2020-2024, has been deployed with the aim of monitoring the implementation of the Berlin Declaration within the European Union's Member States.
