Release 1.12.0 is now the latest available milestone release for the Test Bed’s RDF, XML, JSON and CSV validators. Milestone releases complement the validators’ continuous delivery model that provide rapid access to latest changes, by offering stable versions for users hosting validators on their own infrastructure. The highlights of this latest release are summarised below.

PDF report improvements

The validators’ PDF reports have been revisited to present findings in a more comprehensive manner. Findings are now listed in a callout box, with totals per severity as well as the unique rule count. These totals are now also links to separate sections that list per severity level the relevant reports. Furthermore, metadata related to the validation now fully match the user interface display.

In addition to these presentation updates, you can now configure custom content blocks for the report’s sections, including stylised rich text to make reports more reader-friendly. Moreover, such content can be injected in reports dynamically depending on the type of validation and its result.

The latest report updates, besides improving the organisation and display of results, allow you to customise them for your validator’s users with project-specific context and guidelines.

Minor improvements

Besides its main highlights, this release also includes additional minor improvements:

  • The RDF validator can now source additional report item information also from SHACL shapes. In addition, additional information can also be rich text.
  • Included the validator’s software version information on the user interface, command-line interface as well as through operations in the REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Updated third party libraries to apply patches and address vulnerabilities that could be exploited in certain conditions.
  • Corrected minor bugs that affected XML reports and UI issues for advanced configurations of the XML validator.
